First UMC offers several opportunities for fellowship, as well as several resources that are available for use:
 

• 2nd Wednesday Dinners:  each month on the second Wednesday, we offer a fellowship dinner in Asbury Hall from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm.  Each month, the dinner plans are different (sometimes meat is provided and people bring dishes to share; at other times, the meal is catered and there is a fee).  Please contact the church office by Monday of the second week to make a reservation, if needed.

• Prayer Chain:  the church has a volunteer network of prayer warriors.  If you want to lift up a prayer request, please contact the church office (618-544-8016 or firstumcrob@gmail.com).

• Church Library:  begun in 1960, our church library has approximately 3,000 books, including Bible studies, commentaries, books on social issues, fiction, and children's literature.

• Shut-in Visits:   our pastor and a team of lay visitors see shut-ins on a regular basis, both for visits and to receive communion.  If you feel that you are in need of these services, please contact the church office (618-544-8016) or firstumcrob@gmail.com).

• Pastoral Care:  our pastor is available to provide pastoral care and limited counseling.  If you feel you can make use of these services, please call the church office at 618-544-8016, or e-mail the pastor.
