REFRESH Breakfast & Bible Study
The REFRESH Breakfast & Bible Study for youth grades 6-12 is held at the church on Wednesday mornings during the school year at 6:30 am. It is a great time of food & fellowship. Some of the men who regularly arrive on Wednesday mornings at 5:30 am to prepare breakfast for the youth are Dennis Inboden, Larry Bonnell, Ron Veenstra, Gary Oxford, & John Brimberry. We have a great time cooking a variety of menus (eggs, bacon, pancakes, breakfast burritos, biscuits & gravy, fruit salad, etc.). We typically serve 30-35 kids each week. Pastor Jay, Janelle Oxford, Nina Davis, and Brennan Tracy lead Bible study and prayer time for the youth after their breakfast. Steve Diel takes anyone who needs a ride to school on the church bus after Bible study. We would welcome anyone who would like to join us in this ministry----we're always looking for more cooks, dishwashers, & bus drivers!
Refresh meets on Wednesday mornings from 6:30-7:30 am. We will have hot breakfast available from 6:30-7:00 am. Our Refresh cooks will be serving breakfast to the students from a rotating menu of breakfast foods (students will no longer go through a buffet line and serve themselves). We do ask that students practice social distancing by observing the seating at tables.
At 7:00 am, we will break into two groups. Middle school students will remain in Asbury Hall for Bible study (and remain in their seats), while High school students will move to the Narthex (outside the sanctuary) for Bible study.
At 7:30 am, we will conclude Bible study. The church bus and volunteers will take students to the middle school and/or high school in time to attend their first classes. Students who ride the bus will need to wear a mask in transit. Those students who have their own vehicle can provide transportation for themselves.
